Goals: Students will gain awareness and understanding of current scientific discoveries and issues. Students will also practice effective Internet search techniques and increase their technological literacy by using online blogs to share and collaborate with their peers.
Rational: Science is part of our everyday lives. One of the main goals of this class is to help students learn about science so that they can participate in making decisions in our society based on science.
Procedure: Throughout this course you will be asked to read about science in the news and share your findings with your classmates. We will be using My Big Campus to facilitate communication and collaboration within each class. Every student will create their own blog and post article summaries and responses.
